PASTORAL COUNCIL UPDATES  2021 – 2022

v On
July 15^th, 2021 we buried our Laity Council President, Lady Lydia
Uvah. May we continue to pray for the peaceful repose of her gentle soul and
protection upon her family.

v Mr
Innocent Inalegwu Inalegwu has since replaced her as the parish Laity Council
President.

v Our
Parish is not only wearing a beautiful look but has become truly enriched with
spiritually. We pray and sing at the evening of every Sunday before Benediction.
You can join us as we chant the Lauds.

v We
have adoration every Saturday morning before the Holy Mass.

v The
chapel of Perpetual Adoration is open 24- hours for individual adoration.

v During
the celebration of the 90^th anniversary of the parish, we promised that
the years before the centenary will be used to accomplish the following:

o  
Renovation of the main parish church and
the replacement of the ceiling with a modern one

o  
Restoration of the first church built in
1926

o  
Replacement of the leaking roof of the
parish hall

o  
Printing of our parish uniform

o  
Finishing work on our parish primary
school structures

o  
Construction of water reservoir and harvesting
of water

o  
Renovation of the children’s church

APPOINTMENT 

Lady Lucie Ato has been
appointed as the Parish Representative on the school management board of
Government Girls College Makurdi. She has replaced Lady Lydia Uvah

HARVEST AND BAZAAR

Our
target is to achieve our set goals through the proceeds of the 2021 Harvest and
Bazaar. We are hoping that all parishioners and people of goodwill shall actively
participate and contribute generously towards the success of our harvest and bazaar.

We
encourage  all to plant economic trees as
we are doing in the parish as a preventive measure against hunger and climate
change.
